Announcement of Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Visit

The Future Institute, Graduate School of Nursing (GSN) will host a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation site visit for the master's degree program from September 9-11, 2019.

In accordance with its Procedures for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs, CCNE provides the opportunity for program constituents and other interested parties to submit, in writing, comments concerning the program's qualifications for accreditation. Written constituent or third-party comments must be received by CCNE 21 days before the scheduled on-site evaluation - August 27, 2019.

Jennifer DiBenedetto, PhD student in the Graduate School of Nursing highlights the important practice of self-care for both practicing nurses and nursing students. This video provides a review of the stress response and practical strategies for the caregiver. Jennifer is an experienced critical care nurse and plans to conduct research on the benefits of Reiki for healthcare provider stress and burn-out.
